I earned my Master's Degree from the George Washington University in Washington D.C. in the SEDA Program. I earned my Counseling Certification at the University of Phoenix and earned my Educational Leadership Certification at the University of Arizona.

I began my Counseling career at Magee Middle School in TUSD and have also worked at the elementary and high school levels.  I love working with students at the secondary level!  The past three years I worked as a Counselor for a public charter school specializing in credit recovery and credit acceleration, in the downtown Tucson area. It is very rewarding to know that the work we do as Counselors makes a difference in our student's lives.

I spent  time off with my family.  I have three adult children and two grandchildren.  I also spend time with our dogs and cat as the dogs love the dog park.  I  thrift every weekend, looking for things to upcycle or sell in my online shops.  I love treasure hunting in out of the way places and meeting other thrift shoppers.  There is nothing more relaxing that this!

I have over a decade of experience in education and a passion for supporting students’ well-being. I have worked in different capacities within the Marana School District for over 6 years. Over the years I have effectively addressed various behavioral challenges and fostered positive learning environments. I am excited to start my school counseling career in such a supportive school and school district.

I am a dedicated parent to a recent high school graduate in the Marana Unified School District and have a personal understanding of the highs and lows of a student’s educational journey.

Outside of school I enjoy exploring the outdoors, finding inspiration in nature, and recharging through hiking, fishing, camping and other outdoor activities.

I am excited to contribute to our school community and support students in achieving their fullest potential.
