Assisting 7th Grade students

PHONE: (520) 682-4715

I earned my Master’s degree in School Counseling and Clinical Mental Health from the University of Minnesota. I began my school counseling career working with elementary students 3 years ago, but I genuinely enjoy supporting students across all grade levels. In addition to my work as a school counselor, I bring over 10 years of experience working with children and families through a variety of roles and settings, which has shaped my student-centered, family-focused approach.

I am new to the Marana community and am excited to connect with students, families, and staff as I continue to learn about the community and its strengths. I am passionate about helping students develop coping skills that support emotional regulation, overall well-being, and learning. I believe these skills are essential for both academic and personal success.

Outside of school, I enjoy taking care of my plants, going for walks, spending time with my family and friends, and engaging in creative activities!

I have over a decade of experience in education and a passion for supporting students’ well-being. I have worked in different capacities within the Marana School District for over 6 years. Over the years I have effectively addressed various behavioral challenges and fostered positive learning environments. I am excited to start my school counseling career in such a supportive school and school district.

I am a dedicated parent to a recent high school graduate in the Marana Unified School District and have a personal understanding of the highs and lows of a student’s educational journey.

Outside of school I enjoy exploring the outdoors, finding inspiration in nature, and recharging through hiking, fishing, camping and other outdoor activities.

I am excited to contribute to our school community and support students in achieving their fullest potential.
