8th Grade Promotion

Our 8th grade Promotion is quickly approaching! Here is information concerning our event: 

DAY OF EVENT:  Promotion is on Wednesday, May 20th. 

TIME OF EVENT: Promotion will occur based on your child’s Academic Team (Wildcat, Chili Pepper, or Phoenix). Team promotions will be:

• 9:15 - 10:15am : Chili Pepper
• 11:00 - 12:00pm: Wildcat
• 1:15 - 2:15pm: Phoenix

LOCATION AND PARKING

• Please plan to park in the west or east parking lots under the solar panels. To increase parking capacity, we will also have the area where buses pick-up/drop-off marked off for parking, however, this area must be cleared by 3:00pm to accommodate our buses. 
• Once the ceremony for your student has ended, and you have captured the moment in pictures, please return to your vehicle and leave to allow the next group of parents to park and enter the gym for their student’s promotion. 
• I encourage families to consolidate into one car if possible.

STUDENT PRESENCE BEFORE/AFTER

• Your student is expected to be on campus prior to the start of promotion. Please ensure they are here well in advance. Students dropped off late must check in through the front office. 
• Once the ceremony is over for your student, they will return to their classroom with their teachers unless you are excusing them to leave with you. If so, there will be an attendance station set up at the gym to sign out your student. Please ensure you have an ID with you to do so. 

STUDENT DRESS/ATTIRE

• We encourage students to dress in semi-formal attire to honor the significance of the occasion. Options include slacks, collared shirts, dresses, skirts, or dressy tops. Excessively casual clothing such as jeans, shorts, flip-flops, or graphic t-shirts should be avoided if possible.
• We want our students to feel proud and confident as they celebrate this important milestone. Thank you for your support in helping to create a respectful and memorable event for all.
