Red Ribbon Week
Red Ribbon Week is the nation's oldest and largest drug prevention program. The National Family Partnership started Red Ribbon Week after the death of Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Special Agent Enrique "Kiki" Camarena who was murdered in the line of duty. After his death, people started wearing red ribbons to honor his sacrifice.
Today, millions of people celebrate Red Ribbon Week by wearing red ribbons, participating in community anti-drug events, and pledging to live drug free lives.
Our campus will also bring attention to this issue by inviting students to dress up each day!
- MONDAY: 10/28- Team up to stop drugs
- Wear sports apparel
- TUESDAY: 10/29- Too bright for drugs
- Wear bright colors
- WEDNESDAY: 10/30- Put A Cap On Drugs
