NJHS Outstanding Achievement Award 2024

Congratulations to National Junior Honor Society President Andrea Wheeler (8) who was recognized on Thursday, May 9's 2024 Induction Ceremony  as the recipient of the @nationalhonorsociety NJHS Outstanding Achievement Award. 

Wheeler had to go through an application process for the award where she had to write an essay detailing information about her work towards the five pillars of scholarship, service, leadership, character, and citizenship. Whe also had to submit letters of recommendation.

Candidates are awarded the Achievement Award who:

• demonstrate a service mindset by seeking out and voluntarily fulfilling needs to help others
• commit to learning, growing, and making the most of educational opportunities
• take ownership and responsibility as a leader, in title or in action, in school and community
• display perserverance, honesty, integrity, and ethical and compassionate decision-making
• exemplify good citizenship through a demonstrated commitment to supporting and bettering the local community
